Isabel Murdoch is an associate lawyer within our litigation practice group with a focus on insurance & risk management, tort litigation as well as general commercial litigation.

In Isabel's Own Words:

Isabel completed her studies at the University of Alberta where she received a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology with first class honours and earned her Juris Doctor in 2019. She was called to the bar in 2020. Throughout her tenure at the University of Alberta, Isabel actively contributed to multiple medical research teams. She attributes these experiences to the cultivation of her problem-solving abilities and her ardor for factual inquiry and through investigation. During her time in law school, Isabel was a Coordinator for the Civil and Family law project for Student Legal Services.

Isabel has vast provided vast commitments to the Edmonton community by volunteering with the Edmonton Community Legal Center, Civil Claims Duty Counsel, Edmonton Protection Order Program, Pro Bono Students Canada, Elizabeth Fry Society Court Assistance and Legal Clinic programs. In fact, she decided to become a lawyer during her work with the Elizabeth Fry Society based on their mission to advance the dignity of and worth of all women, girls and gender diverse people.

Isabel’s spare time passion is touring art museums, studying cultures through art history, and painting. In fact, she completed two years of fine arts training prior to University. Isabel also plays a vibrant role on the firms Social Committee, and enjoys hiking, hot yoga, and biking.
